Oasis for Carers
Oasis was a non-faith based project with unpaid carers of children and adults with challenging behaviours or additional needs. The Oasis Project was a partnership project between Artlink and Leeds Jewish Welfare Board and took place at the Marjrie & Arnold Ziff Building in Leeds. Over 11 weeks, participants worked with artists Bryony and Becky Cherriman to establish a creative sanctuary. The group experimented with creative writing, storytelling, performing, movement, and photography to create writing and visual art as well as working towards a book launch in September 2014. The sessions were filled with deep fascinating discussions, which were uplifting, reflective and inspiring.
